Vacation Leave

All regular staff employees of Naropa University receive annual paid vacation leave to be used for the purpose of rest, relaxation, and travel. Vacation time is accrued monthly at a rate based upon years of service with the organization, as follows. Accrual rates and maximum accrual rates are prorated for less-than-full time employees:

Length of Service Vacation Per Year Maximum Accrual

Immediately upon hire thru three (3) full years of continuous employment 10 days 15 days

After three (3) full years thru six (6) full years of continuous employment 15 days 20 days

After six (6) full years of continuous employment and any years thereafter 20 days 25 days

Vacation leave may only be taken once it has been accrued and may be carried over from year to year but may not exceed the maximum accrual rate.
