Volunteer/Work Study Opportunities:
There are two possibilities for Volunteers: You can do a combination of both if you want. Both options involve working with at risk children many of whom are English language learners.
1. The Homework Club
Volunteers are needed to meet with students 1:1 to help them with their homework. The schedule is different for each school and may be mornings or afternoons.
2. After School Enrichment Classes
Volunteers are needed to assist teachers in a variety of fun and interesting after school classes by helping the teachers implement their class activities. Each class is held once a week from 2 :45-4 :00 pm. You can volunteer to assist in more than one class.
There are other volunteer opportunities available for those who speak Spanish, Nepalese and other languages. |
