Contemplative Practice Coordinator
The Contemplative Practice Coordinator position is currently open. For local students, that person can give references to a practice group or meditation instructor. For online only students, that person can provide information on meditation instruction, as well as retreat centers in your area (although increasingly this can be found online). My name is Priscilla Inkpen and I am Associate Dean of Students/Diversity Affairs Student Advocate. As an online student, you can let me know if you have had any concerns with course content or attitudes of teachers or students toward diversity-related concerns (race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious diversity, disability, etc.). Part of my work is coordinating graduation, so you’ll be hearing from me and can contact me with questions when that time rolls around. I verify students’ tax returns, submit Americorps vouchers, repackage students’ financial aid if you change your enrollment status, and submit financial aid information forms for food stamps.

I answer questions about the financial aid process at Naropa and specific/individual questions regarding the status of a student’s financial aid. I also collect and route incoming paperwork and send out financial aid packets and other letters from the financial aid office. I also complete authorization forms for Veterans Benefits.

I assist students with all phases of the financial aid process but specialize in helping students and parents review their student loan borrowing plans, predict their monthly loan payments, and understand loan consolidation and repayment rules.

Registration

I oversee all registration processes as well as create and enforce registration policy. I work with advisors, administrators and faculty to ensure that University needs are met in terms of registration and the web registration module. I also help students who are having trouble with web registration, or who have questions about policy or procedure.

I coordinate the registration of Naropa students with the online learning environment, eCollege, in addition to working with other Naropa departments such as the Summer Writing Program and the Prison College Program. Some students may already know me through my role as Admissions Counselor for some of Naropa's online master's degree programs.
Graduation

As Assistant Registrar, I confer degrees by working with advisors to verify that all degree requirements have been met. I'm the person to ask about the graduation process and about receiving your diploma. I also handle Leave of Absence and Withdrawal requests. Call me for any questions about the procedure and to find out the status of your request. Additionally, I post transfer credits for students who have taken classes outside Naropa after their first semester here. And finally, I can help any registration questions you might have.
