Americorps

Naropa University receives an Americorps grant which provides funding for 70-90 students per year.  Students receive an education stipend in exchange for volunteer work with non-profit organizations.  The education stipend may be used to pay educational expenses while the student is enrolled, or to repay Federal student loans.  The stipend is available at the end of the service commitment.  Several different time commitments are available.  All hours must be worked in a non-profit organization doing unpaid work.  Students fulfilling internship requirements often qualify for an Americorps grant.

300hrs / 1 yr = $1000
450hrs / 1 yr = $1250
900hrs / 2 yrs = $2362.50
