Jack Kerouac Fellowship

The Jack Kerouac Fellowship is awarded annually to an entering MFA candidate in Writing & Poetics and covers up to a maximum of $25,000 in tuition and fees. The Jack Kerouac Fellowship is funded in part by the Hiro Yamagata Scholarship.

The recipient will be a writer who shows promise in innovative/experimental writing, based on his or her application materials. In the second year, the recipient may apply for a Graduate Assistantship at the university. Applicants must submit their materials by February 1, 2013, to be considered.
