Returning Students: March 1 is the recommended deadline to submit the FAFSA to the Federal Processor in order to be considered on time. For the Summer and Fall semesters, financial aid applications must be submitted by the this date to be considered for campus-based aid (Naropa Grant, Naropa Scholarships and Work-study, FSEOG, and Perkins Loan).
New students: New students are strongly encouraged to submit the FAFSA to the federal processor by March 1st, as some forms of campus-based aid can be depleted. Late applications for new students will be considered for all available forms of aid. New students applying for aid for the Spring semester should submit the FAFSA to the federal processor by October 1.
Verification and Supporting Documentation
As mentioned above, students are notified on the Student Aid Report if they have been selected for verification. If selected for verification, please submit the verification worksheet, tax returns or other requested supporting documentation, no later than 6 weeks after filing the FAFSA. Failure to submit documentation in a timely manner will result in delayed aid.
The deadline for scholarship application materials for most institutional scholarships is April 1. Some scholarships may have different deadlines and those dates will be specified within the description. Also, see scholarship descriptions for detailed information on qualifications and requirements.
