Naropa Resource Fair
Twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring semester, Community Studies organizes a resource fair in collaboration with Student Affairs. These fairs are opportunities for students to connect with a variety of community resources and build relationships with people in the community around shared interests. The Naropa Resource Fair is held during a Wednesday lunch hour so that all community members may participate, and in the past has included a barbeque, scavenger hunts, booths, art, music, yummy snacks, dancing and drumming and dialogue circles.
Dialogue circles are opportunities to sit in community with one another and dialogue at a deeper level about themes of shared interest. These circles are open to everyone and include students, staff, faculty and community members. Our fall 2007 dialogue circles dealt with the following themes:
- Health care
- Elder care
- Education and youth services
- Environment
