Baja Contemplative Journey
A seven-day contemplative journey through Mexico’s southern Baja Peninsula. Rejuvenate with
warm beaches, whale watching, meditation, sea kayaking, and exploring the colorful culture of Baja.
Dates: March 16-23, 23-30 / April 6-13
Note: Itineraries can be customized to meet group interests.
Day 1: Airport Pickup in Los Cabos. Orientation with your guide, then drive to a beach and put
your toes in the sand! Enjoy a group dinner of delicious Baja cuisine before stargazing and falling
asleep to the sound of the sea.
Days 2-4: Explore Cabo Pulmo National Marine Sanctuary or Espiritu Santo Island*, where warm,
deserted beaches welcome us for Qi Gong, meditation, swimming, hiking, mindfulness practice,
snorkeling, and simply relaxing in the sand. Often it is even possible to witness bio-luminescence in
the waters here. Guided sea kayaking is an option that gives us freedom to explore more beaches,
watch for manta rays leaping out of the sea, and visit a sea lion colony. The exquisite serenity of
our mornings will be punctuated by the sea splash of pelicans diving for fish. The sunsets will paint
our world pink and orange while the waves caress our senses.
Days 5-6: From the quaint artisan town of Todos Santos we explore the Pacific Coast of Baja. Our
minds and senses expand across vast beaches, invigorated by the fresh Pacific surf, and our hearts
open at the magnificent sight of gray whales right offshore. Optional activities that can be arranged
include massage and surfing. There is also time to explore the art galleries, cafes, and shops of
colorful Todos Santos.
Day 7: Discover the Pearl, nickname for the capital city of La Paz. Wander through the traditional
market or the central plaza of this pleasant Mexican port. Spend the evening strolling along the
picturesque waterfront and dining in a seafood restaurant or a French Bistro.
