Finding Aids

Finding aids for the Naropa University Archives are available for all processed materials. A finding aid is a guide outlining the arrangement of the collection that helps facilitate its access and use.

Currently, findings aids for over 55 processed collections have been created and are available online. Findings aids for other collections will be made available as the collections are processed.

The Naropa University Archives finding aid database searches the descriptive information about each collection within each finding aid. Collections are subdivided into sets such as series, boxes, and folders. Since boxes and folders can contain numerous items, the majority of which are not described at an item level in the finding aids, the database is most beneficial as a tool to gain knowledge about the nature, scope, and extent of the collections.
