Alumni Listserv

The Naropa Alumni Listserv, powered by Lyris, is the fastest and easiest way to stay in touch with the Naropa alumni community. The purpose of this list is to provide an open forum for the posting and discussion of news and information relating to Naropa University alumni. That means anything related to or about Naropa alumni is fair game. This includes anything from a marriage announcement to a referral request to a travel journal entry to a philosophical pondering.

Postings to the listserv are made by sending an email to the list or by visiting the web interface where you can also view six months worth of archives.

There are some guidelines to follow in using the listserv to ensure that all members are considered and respected. All new members will receive these guidelines in their welcome email. Subscribe to the Alumni Listserv

To join a list all you need to do is send an e-mail to the list server without a subject or message.  The e-mail address you need to send a message to is join-alumni@listserv.naropa.edu.

Unsubscribe from the Alumni Listserv

To unsubscribe from a list, all you need to do is send an e-mail to the list server without a subject or message.  The e-mail address you need to send a message to is leave-alumni@listserv.naropa.edu.

To Change Emails in the Alumni Listserv

To change the email you use for the Alumni Listserv, you will need to first leave the Alumni Listserv (see above) and then join the listserv with the new email address (see above).

Naropa Alumni Listserv Guidelines:

1. Region-Specific Postings

You may wish to make an announcement or pose a question to the entire membership of the listserv. This is welcome and encouraged. However, in the event that you are announcing something specific to your area, like a concert or a service, please use the following guidelines:

To send a message regarding an event in your area:
Precede your subject heading with the regional AREA you are targeting in ALL CAPS.

Examples:
Subject: BOULDER health fair
Subject: SAN FRAN cd release party
Subject: BERLIN disco party

As with all listserv postings, your message will go to all members. The special subject will simply help all to prioritize their message opening.

2. Replying to Messages

To reply to SENDER ONLY: simply hit "reply".

TO reply to ALL MEMBERS of the NAROPA ALUMNI LISTSERV: input alumni@listserv.naropa.edu to the To: field of your email composer.

3. Modifying Settings

To change the email address that listserv messages are sent to or to change your name, you will need to unsubscribe and re-subscribe using the web forums above.

4. Unsubscribing

If you would like to unsubscribe, please use the web form above to do so.

5. Appropriate Language

While free expression is greatly valued by Naropa University, we request that you show respect to all by keeping your language free of vulgar expletives.
