I am a bilingual (Spanish) ordained minister, trained counselor, dance/movement therapist, expressive and creative arts therapist, massage therapist, yoga teacher, poet, writer and educator. I providing integrated healing to the whole person and facilitate depth, peace and connection to the Something Bigger through embodied and integrated healing of inner world, outer world and metaphysical world experiences.
I used a highly integrative approach to counseling. Some of the main modalities I incorporate are body psychotherapy, dance/movement therapy, Internal Family Systems, and sandtray therapy. I work to help people better manage life and to reach their personal goals while also deepening into a greater sense of their spirituality. One of my specialties is working with chronic pain, illness and injury. In Medical Somatic Psychotherapy I work with the body-psyche-spirit interface to help people restore healthy relationship to their bodies, reduce pain perception, and increase healing.
I am passionate about educating clinicians on the ethics and use of touch in therapy. As such, I offer weekend trainings in the Fundamentals of Psychotherapeutic Touch (I have taught at Naropa on this topic as an adjunct faculty) and am currently writing a textbook on the same topic.
