Naropa University welcomes transfer students of all ages, whether you’ve taken a course or two, finished several semesters or a few years of course work at another institution. The majority of Naropa’s undergraduate student body is composed of transfer students whose diverse educational backgrounds strengthen the academic experience for everyone. And once at Naropa, most transfer students go on to finish their education here.

Students come to Naropa University from a variety of geographical locations and from diverse places in their educational and career paths. Naropa University students represent 12 countries and 41 states. Most students come from Colorado, California, Minnesota, Texas, Illinois and New York. Some find Naropa after a short time at another educational institution, while others discover Naropa mid-career.

Whenever you’re finding Naropa, you’ll discover it’s a great place to finish your undergraduate education — and your graduate education if you decide to continue your studies. From the community-minded atmosphere to the unconventional, creative and activist-oriented student body, transfer students find themselves in a place quite different from anywhere else they’ve been. At Naropa, students are challenged intellectually while they’re discovering who they truly are and what kind of person they want to become. Students who have struggled to learn in auditorium-sized classes will find they’re learning in a collaborative way with just about a dozen classmates at a time at Naropa. It’s a much better way to get to know your professors, your classmates and yourself.
