Accepted International Student Requirements
Once an international student is accepted to Naropa University, he or she will be required to provide the following documents. Our International Student Advising staff will assist students with these procedures.

International students who are accepted academically to Naropa and need Form I-20 to apply for an F-1 student visa must submit documentation of financial resources for the first academic year (nine months), in English. Documentation must show the ability to pay both tuition and living expenses as estimated by Naropa University. This can be in the form of:
- A personal bank statement in the student's name
- Personal sponsorship documentation, including a letter of support accompanied by the sponsor's bank statement
- Government or private foundation sponsorship documentation, including a letter from the sponsor confirming support and stating the amount of aid
For residential students, the required amount of support for the 2012-2013 school year is $39,000. For low-residency program students who plan to apply for student visas, documentation is required.Dependents
If you have dependents, you'll need to document an additional amount of funding:
- $6,300 for a spouse
- $5,700 for each child
In addition, the Admissions Office will need the following information on each dependent:
- First and last name
- Birth date
- Country of birth
- Country of citizenship
