In lieu of a visit to Boulder, interested applicants may wish to attend a workshop with Wendell Beavers, or other faculty of the MFA Theater: Contemporary Performance program faculty. The workshop material presents aspects of the current MFA curriculum. Dates and locations of these workshops will be posted by September 1, 2010, at: www.naropa.edu/admissions/grad_addl_cperf.cfm. Application interviews may take place in relation to these workshops and campus visits. Applicants’ admissions files must be complete before the department will schedule an interview and before the student may contact the department’s administrative director to make an appointment. Informal informational sessions may take place with an admissions counselor or with the MFA department at any time during the inquiry or application process. We particularly extend invitations to applicants who have worked in theater, dance, musical theater or any realm of performance, who have grounding in traditional techniques and have cultivated their own point of view and body of work. Of course, exceptional applicants coming directly from undergraduate programs are also welcome.
