Certificate Program in Early Childhood Education
This one-year program is designed for those who wish to immerse themselves in a contemplative education study, without getting a state-recognized credential. This certificate program is different from the BA in Early Childhood Education in that it grants no recognized formal state certification. This program is open to those who already have completed a minimum of 60 semester credits. The required courses in the certificate program include all of the required first year BA in Early Childhood Education program courses (see Degree Requirements). The graduation requirements for the certificate are 30 semester credits, including the 12 credits in core Early Childhood Education courses and the 12-credit minor.
For information about careers related to a certificate in Early Childhood Education, we are providing the name and the US Department of Labor’s Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code of the occupations for which the certificate program prepares its students.
