A straight-ahead, blue collar painter, Joe Giordano is a National Endowment for the Arts Individual Visual Artist Fellow. He received
a New York State Council on the Arts Grant for Painting and grants for Dance Set Design
from the National Endowment for the Arts and The New York State Council on the Arts.
Museum Retrospectives include the Queens Museum, NY; Reading Public Museum, Reading,
PA; University of Maryland Baltimore County; Moravian College, PA; and Salisbury
University, MD. His paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in
the USA and Italy. His prints and paintings are in the collections of the Library
of Congress, The Brooklyn Museum, the New York Public Library, The Metropolitan Museum

Painting is an equal matter of philosophy and aesthetics but if I had to choose I
