Anne's entire life has been spent in various forms of the arts. She has been the Executive
Director at Woodland Pattern Literary Center since the organization's founding in
1979 and has been known to alternate a chapter of her latest book for every half-hour
of housework that needs to be done. After growing up in a small town with the only
library being donated books in the basement of the local doctor's office she says,
"Thirty years of being part of Woodland Pattern and having unlimited access to the
dizzying array of books and writers we offer is not something I take for granted.
It has been my continuing education."
Her Circus quilt work is featured Contemporary American Quilts, Robert Shaw (2009
Sterling Publishing) and she has participated in over 80 major exhibitions, the most
recent being A Torrent of Words at the John Michael Kohler Art Center.
