Amy Martinson was born in Wisconsin. She has played piano since she was seven years old. Amy has a master's degree in music education from Northwestern University in Illinois. Currently, she is writing her doctoral dissertation for her PhD in music education, and teaching music in Denver Public Schools. Lagrimas is Amy's first CD, (a collaboration of poetry and piano with Gia Opris).
