Alicia Lewis: A History of the Natural World

Fall '13 TOC

This is a history of the natural world.

A time when all things in order
prevailed. Chaos chose to dismantle
order. Or so we thought. Naturally.
Or we thought of other things instead.

Did we think natural selection of life?
A universal pattern of ? Did we ?
Perhaps we never took into consideration
that in order for order to become order, it
has to go through a series of declassification.

This is a history of the natural world.

It is a de class if i ca tion of that said order.
Prevailed. Order became deconstructed
to become chaos confirmed. The natural order.
Or so we thought. Of other things. Instead.

Do you think you are a shell of yourself?
A void? A discarded skin? Build a nest of
yourself and take the nest and deconstruct it.
Construction deconstructed is a new beginning.
Birds fly. But a long time ago they swam.

This is a history of the natural world.
