meant to mature

by impression

alone, I penetrate myself



birds wing their way

alone,

so I wing my way     myself




maybe I press taller then

a colorless substance,


bruise more absent than blue

where light finds its enter


in a dark-haired child with biggish ears

head sparrow cocked to one side



she listens for birdsong,

thicket ballad,

cloud refrain
