Drew Hetzel lives with his wife in the San Francisco Bay Area where he has been teaching English to high school students. He is currently working on his third novel that takes place in 1930s India, and completing an MFA in Creative Writing from Naropa University. In his free time he enjoys baking bread, eating from his garden, and reading short stories to his cats, who have recently expressed a curious preference for Tagore over Marquez.
