To facilitate the community of learners in the MA Transpersonal Psychology program, we have established a successful “online student lounge.” We call it the Well.
Imagine a village or an ancient city in a hot and dry place. The well is its center, and the life of the community revolves around it.
Here, in the shade on a hot day, we gather to share and discuss the news of the community, to tell our stories and listen to each other, to inquire deeper into our experiences, and to find—and offer—support and encouragement. It is a place of renewal, connection and nourishment. Some come to get helpful information or to relax; others bring their sorrows, their concerns, challenges, joys and celebrations to share with the community. We gather here, and our thirsts are quenched, for a time at least.
We welcome you and your story, just as it is. We hope you find this WELL helpful and refreshing.
Students discuss, via online threaded discussions, issues related to their contemplative practice, transpersonal psychology, diversity and inclusivity, and general goings-on in their own lives. In addition, students use the Well to plan graduation ceremonies (both at a distance and in Boulder) and share their master’s papers with each other.
