Degree Requirements

Program Requirements for Both Dance/Movement Therapy and Body Psychotherapy Concentrations

  • Minimum Credits Required for Graduation: 60
  • Additional Requirements: Thesis and Internship clearance
  • Note: Students must maintain 9 credits to be eligible for full-time financial aid. For part-time financial aid students must maintain a minimum of 6 credits. The final semester of the Somatic Counseling Psychology program is 3 credits; therefore, students must inform financial aid that they are below 6 credits. This will affect the students’ ability to receive federal financial aid.

Each concentration has a portion of credits that are taken separately with the students enrolled in the Dance/Movement Therapy or Body Psychotherapy concentrations; however, many program requirements are the same for both concentrations. The joint requirements include:
