Transition Naropa

Transition Universities are, according to the Transition Network's strategic plan, schools that are “applying Transition concepts to themselves,” “running courses in Transition issues, adding a practical dimension to their previously purely academic courses,” and “doing basic research to support and strengthen the Transition model.”

Transition Naropa is an inclusive, university-wide movement for greater sustainability and self-reliance at Naropa. Modeled on the Transition Movement worldwide, and in collaboration with Transition Boulder County, Transition Naropa seeks to strengthen community by raising awareness about peak oil, climate change and economic instability; engaging in deep dialogue about
the challenges we face; and co-creating projects that positively address these issues in our lives at Naropa
and beyond.
