Enlighten

New works by Naropa University Paramita Faculty and Staff

February 2 –April 26, 2015
Paramita Gallery, 3285 30th Street, Boulder, CO 80302

In Buddhism, the pāramitās refer to the perfection or culmination of certain virtues. These virtues are cultivated as a way of purification; purifying karma and helping the aspirant live an unobstructed life while striving toward the goal of enlightenment. Cultivating those virtues is the basis of Naropa University.

The exhibition Enlighten presents art works by the teachers and administrators who launch and define the word enlighten in their teachings and life. The simple definition of enlighten is to give (someone) greater knowledge and understanding; to make make aware; to illuminate; and or give (someone) spiritual knowledge or insight.
