Community-Based Work-Study

Get paid to volunteer in the local community!

Students who are awarded work-study as part of their financial aid package may work on or off campus. Naropa University employs a small percentage of students at select non-profit organizations in Boulder. In order to qualify for the community work-study program, students must be eligible for federal work-study. As a work-study employee of Naropa, students will volunteer at one of the organizations listed below. Eligible students may work up to twenty hours per week. Starting January 1st, 2015, the pay rate will be $8.23/hour.

Students are paid semi-monthly receiving their paychecks on the 15th and the last day of the month.  Earnings are not applied to a student’s tuition bill and are subject to taxation. Receiving a work-study award is not a guarantee of employment.
